Maison Tillac is a newly renovated 19th century farmworker\'s
cottage and barn in the medieval village of Tillac in Gascony in
South West France. It has its own swimming pool. Situated one
minute's walk from the local epicerie, two from the best butcher in
the area, three from the village bar and restaurant and four minutes
drive from an 18-hole golf course, Maison Tillac is ideal for a
relaxing holiday in the beautiful Gascon countryside. Tillac is
wonderfully placed for many attractions. Sightseeing, walking,
cycling, golf, tennis, horse riding, fishing are all available in
the area. Marciac, with its International Jazz Festival, Mirande for
Country Music and Vic Fezensac for Salsa are all very close by.
Tillac has its Floralie, Brocante, Fete and classical music
concerts. Add the rolling countryside of Gascony and its fields of
smiling sunflowers, tiny villages, produce markets, quiet roads and
lots of sunshine and you have the magic ingredients for the best of
holidays.
At the edge of the medieval village of Tillac, Maison Tillac can be
rented as a whole or as two gîtes ('Le Cottage' - up to 5 people -
and 'La Grange' - up to 8 people). It is approached via its own
entrance off a 'chemin rural' and has parking for four vehicles.
The large enclosed front garden has trees, shrubs, lawns, flowers
and seating area. Each gîte has a rear covered terrace with al
fresco dining facilities and a small garden from where you can watch
the setting sun. The shared swimming pool, 11m x 5 m, has sunbathing
terrace and loungers and is surrounded by oleanders and other
flowering shrubs.
Each Gîte has open plan living, dining and kitchen areas, ceramic
tile flooring, fireplace and comfortable furnishings. The upstairs
bedrooms have vaulted ceilings with original beams and 'Columbage',
parquet flooring and ample storage space. All have well lit en-suite
bath or shower room.
